NFL First Round Playoffs, second game for the NFC Wild Card weekend. San Francisco 49ers at Green Bay Packers, today at 4:40pm eastern time in Lambeau Field at Green Bay, Wisconsin. This is the second game between these two teams. They played in week 1 with the 49ers walking away with a 34-28 victory.

NFL Team Stats, Key Players, & Injury Reports

San Francisco 49ers regular season record is 12-4 and Green Bay Packers regular season record is 8-7-1. The reason they are playing in Green Bay is because the Packers are the NFC North division leaders. This game may be the coldest game played in this years NFL Playoffs. The cold is something Green Bay Packers are use to and other teams have a hard time dealing with. Yes, this is a factor but after yesterday’s Saints vs Eagles game. I believe if a team brings their A-game then nothing will stop them from winning. Plus the 49ers are coming into this game on a 6 game winning streak.

Road Team vs Home Team Records

San Francisco 49ers road record in the regular season is 6-2 and Green Bay Packers home record in the regular season is 4-3-1. I have to give the 49ers the edge in this area. The Packers are spotty at home while San Francisco has been a serious threat on the road.

49ers Offensive Yards vs Packers Defense Allowed Yards

San Francisco offense average 186 passing yards per game and 137 rushing yards per game. While the Packers defense allow 247 passing yards per game and 125 rushing yards per game. This means the 49ers will get all the yards they need to win this game if Green Bay defense stay the same as the regular season. Don’t get me wrong, if its not broken don’t fix it but something must be done to stop San Francisco from scoring.

Green Bay offense average 266 passing yards per game and 133 rushing yards per game. While the 49ers defense on average allow 221 passing yards per game and 95 rushing yards per game. This means if the 49ers do their job right they will cut the Packers yards down, maybe even keeping them out of the red zone a time or time. I give the edge to the 49ers on this one.

San Francisco 49ers vs Green Bay Packers Odds & Prediction

  • San Francisco 49ers: Spread -3 (-110), Moneyline (-155)
  • Green Bay Packers: Spread +3 (-110), Moneyline (+135)

Over/Under: 46 (-110) Odds provided by Bovada.lv

My prediction for this game is the 49ers will struggle in the first half before getting use to the cold then come back for the win in the second half. I am risking 2 units on the 49ers to take victory over the packers and beat the spread.
